| The club
is dedicated to the interest and preservation of Mopar products (Dodge,
Plymouth, Chrysler, DeSoto, AMC, Jeep, and Eagle). Muscle cars are
not the only Mopar vehicles welcomed into the club; we can appreciate an
old Chrysler product or a nice slant-six just as much as a muscle
car. And don't be embarrassed if your car is not quite finished or
if you are just getting started. Most of us have been there (or
still are there) ourselves.
Club meetings are generally held at
3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons at the Pig Stand Restaurant (1508
Broadway, near I-35/Hwy 281 overpasses, just northeast of
downtown). Meetings are generally held the 3rd Sunday of every
month.
(Date and location of meetings are occasionally moved for special
events.)
Topics discussed at our regular meetings include cruises,
parades we have been invited to drive in, other organizations' car
shows, and our own annual car show. Special get-togethers such as
picnics and car washes are also organized at the regular meetings.
They are also a great opportunity to talk with other Mopar owners, who
may know where to find that part you need or how to fix that problem you
have not been able to solve. Finally, the meetings are a good
excuse to get your Mopar out and show it off!!
Membership is $10 per year. Members
receive our quarterly newsletter, may place for
sale or wanted ads in the newsletter and on the web site at no cost, and
also receive other benefits such as discounts with Year One.
If you may not be able to attend
one of the club meetings in the near future but would like to become a
member, please send $10 with
your name, address and phone number to our secretary/treasurer:
Silvia Zemgals, 4623 Twinpod, San Antonio, TX, 78247.
Hope to see you (and your car) at
future club events!
